District Court judges appointed – VOXY

Attorney General Judith Collins today announced the appointment of two new District Court judges.

The appointees who will take up positions in the Manukau Court and Auckland Court in the Accident Compensation Appeal Jurisdiction are:

Jacqui Clark

Mr Justice Clark qualified to practice in 1988 after graduating from the University of Auckland (LLB Hons, BA).

She worked for Simpson Grierson until 1995 and taught construction law at Auckland University Architecture School from 1992 to 1995. She then practised as a barrister for James Farmer QC and Stuart Grieve QC before joining Bell Gully in 2000.

Judge Clark left Bell Gully in 2006 and spent the next six years as a single solicitor before joining Wilson McKay in 2012, where she remains a special counsel. Judge Clark specialises in dispute resolution and is a member of the Licensed Building Practitioners Board.

She will be based in Auckland and will be sworn in on 11 October 2024.

Lukasz Radich

Judge Radich graduated from the University of Canterbury (BA/LA) and qualified as a barrister in 1999.

He worked as a solicitor at Radich Dwyer Hardy-Jones Clark in Blenheim, becoming a partner in 2008. In 2015 he moved to Auckland to become a senior prosecutor at Kayes Fletcher Walker, where he conducted dozens of jury trials in both the District and High Courts.

Judge Radich was also a presenter for Trackside Television from 2000 to 2008.

He will be based in Manukau and will be sworn in on 13 September 2024.
