Sydney Sweeney recently sat down with ELLE Australia to chat about Euphoria, romantic comedies, and the hair products that nourish her sun-loving mane. Read our full conversation below.

About Euphoria…

I think people related to Cassie (my character in Euphoria) because she wasn’t afraid to show her emotions—she wore them out in the open. Her raw, unfiltered honesty was both chaotic and refreshing, and it came from the heart.

About working in Australia…

I miss Australia so much. It was so friendly and nice to me (when we were filming) Anyone but you last year). I really miss my cast and crew. It was a very special group of people.

On the love of romantic comedies…

I hope to see more romantic comedies. I think people are looking for an experience when they watch movies: a shared connection of joy, love, sadness. It’s really special when a movie brings people together and makes them dance as they leave the theater.

About fame…

I am still learning how to navigate (be the center of attention). There are always new challenges and while it can be overwhelming at times, I accept the process and continue to learn.

About hair care…

My hair is susceptible to damage from treatments like heat styling, so I use the Kérastase Première collection, which includes shampoo, conditioner and, most recently, a descaling pre-shampoo treatment.
It really helps rebuild my hair and keep it strong.

I’m currently in the middle my hair health journey and my hairdresser (Glen Coco) recommended Kérastase. I have really noticed a difference, less breakage and my hair is fuller and healthier. Glen is one of my best friends and we always have fun creating new styles for different occasions. I have to admit I love big, bouncy curls.

I also love a good hair mask. Once a week I use the Kérastase Première Repairing Mask. And then, before styling, Kérastase has a lot of amazing protective products. My favorite is the Première Intensive Repairing Serum, which seals the strands and protects them from heat damage. Then I use the Première Repairing Hair Oil to keep my hair super shiny.
