Australian dies at Ngurah Rai International Airport in Denpasar, Bali after losing consciousness

An Australian man died in Bali after losing consciousness at Ngurah Rai Airport in Denpasar.

The man is believed to have collapsed in the international arrivals hall before 12pm on Wednesday, Daily Mail Australia reports.

Airport police spokesman Nyoman Darsana told Daily Mail Australia that emergency services immediately arrived to assist.

“A few minutes later, two medical teams from the agency arrived. They tried to save the victim by performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation,” Darsana said.

The man was taken to BIMC Hospital, but he could not be saved.

The victim is the third Australian to die in Bali in just three weeks.

Thomas James Cossins, 30, died on August 30 after a motorcycle crash — reportedly at high speed while cornering — while on holiday with his fiancée.

A week earlier, Shane Ramsay, a labourer from Perth, also died from injuries suffered in a scooter accident.

The 30-year-old, from Clarkson, was celebrating a friend’s wedding in Bali when he crashed his scooter, leaving him with a fractured skull, serious brain damage and bleeding in his lungs.

His family managed to raise enough money to fly him home on an ambulance, but he later died at Royal Perth Hospital.
