HEMLINES will premiere at Sydney Fringe this month

Step into the bold world of Hemlines, an exciting new production premiering at the Sydney Fringe Festival from 10-14 September. Created by the award-winning team at Moon Bureau, this whimsical and thought-provoking theatre piece promises to be a unique experience you won’t want to miss.

Brought to life by the talented trio of Madison Chippendale, Lana Filies and Alicia Badger under the direction of Amelia Gilday, Hemlines dances on a razor’s edge between silliness and seriousness. Viewers are invited to reflect on the threads that shape our identity and connect us to the world around us.

“The show is at its core about fear of the unknown. What happens when we break a cycle or a pattern and why are we so afraid to do so? But it’s also about an undeniable love of female friendship and, oddly enough, a lot of Irish dancing… enjoy the rollercoaster,” says co-creator and artist Lana Filies.

Supported by Shopfront’s Open Shop programme, Hemlines is a fresh and bold theatre experience. This limited engagement will have you laughing – don’t miss your chance to be part of its world premiere!
