The Council of Ministers will take urgent action on new financing

Anthony Albanese and state premiers are expected to announce millions of dollars in new spending to tackle domestic violence, including frontline support services, tracking high-risk perpetrators and helping younger victims.

Following an unusually rapid review of government policy, national government talks in Canberra on Friday will focus on tackling the big loopholes exploited by perpetrators of abuse, including for children experiencing violence at home.
