Authorities said a 36-year-old motorcyclist from Somerset County was killed in a crash Monday evening on Route 18 in New Brunswick.

Andrew Nowakowski, of the Franklin section of Somerset, was riding south near the exit onto Route 1 shortly before 7 p.m. when he lost control of his motorcycle on a curve and crashed, New Brunswick police said.

Nowakowski then hit road signs and was found on the grassy strip dividing the carriageways.

Nowakowski worked as an MRI technician, according to his online obituary. He is survived by his sister, his brother’s parents and many other relatives.
