Crowded House member Liam Finn has signed to perform with Pearl Jam on their New Zealand Dark Matter World Tour later this year.

After 25 years of performing with father Neil Finn and Crowded House, Liam and Neil have released their first album together Sleeping awake in 2018, Liam and his brother Elroy officially joined Crowded House as core members and co-writers. Liam has been living in the US for 12 years.

Pearl Jam will return to New Zealand and Australia after a decade away from shore. The Seattle grunge rockers will play two shows at Auckland’s Mt Smart Stadium on November 8 and 10 with Pixies.

Dark Matter is the band’s first release since 2020’s Gigaton. Pearl Jam — Eddie Vedder, Jeff Ament, Stone Gossard, Mike McCready and Matt Cameron — recorded the album in just three weeks in Malibu last year.
